Events

One of our pillars is service, and we pride ourselves on our drive to give back to the community. Community service is not just an opportunity for us to give back, but also to connect with each other. Our goal is to leave a positive mark on the world.

Philanthropy

In 1970, an Omega by the name of Sally Smith was killed by a drunk driver. Every year during the month of February we dedicate the week to spreading awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.

Each Omega also signs a pledge to never drive under the influence.

A bridge on campus is also dedicated in memory of Sally Smith, where we take our Omega pictures each year.

Relay for Life

Relay for Life is an event that is near and dear to the ladies of Omega Psi Theta. Last year we relayed for Carol Mack, one of our beloved Omega alumni and sponsors who is battling cancer.

We raised over $2,000 as a team, joining the rest of the community in the fight against cancer.

Highway Trash Pick-up

Twice a year, once in the fall and again in the spring, we pick up trash along a two-mile stretch on highway 33. This is not only a way to help the community that we all live in, but it helps the environment as well.

We always seem to find the most interesting things along the highway, and enjoy time well spent with our sisters.
